Medically Home Announces Stand Up To Cancer CEO, Sung Poblete, and Cancer Survivor, Dave Latham as Float Riders in the ’22 Rose Parade

BOSTON – Dec. 14, 2021 – Medically Home, a technology-enabled services company, today announced Stand Up To Cancer chief executive officer, Sung Poblete, PhD, RN, and Dave Latham, metastatic cancer survivor, as riders on its ’22 Rose Parade float. “I’m so thankful for the opportunity to highlight the importance of cancer research and clinical trials through Stand Up To Cancer’s presence on Medically Home’s 2022 Rose Parade float,” said Sung Poblete, PhD, RN, CEO of Stand Up To Cancer. “Making decentralized clinical trials and at-home treatments more available to patients will increase equitable access to cutting-edge and potentially life-saving therapies no matter where people live. SU2C and Medically Home are already working together to bring clinical trials to where patients are; I believe that shifting health care delivery in this way is the future of more patient-centric care.”

Dave Latham adds, “Years ago, I happened to pick up a Byzantine replica of St. George slaying the dragon in Bulgaria – little did I know, it would come to represent more than just an ordinary souvenir as I was so fortunate to benefit from research and innovative new treatments that enabled me to beat the overwhelming odds of a devastating diagnosis and today say that I am a cancer survivor. I am proud and grateful to be here as part of the Rose Parade, a living example of the spirit of perseverance to overcome obstacles.” Representing the benefits of receiving hospital-level care in the home, Poblete’s dog, Zoe, will accompany her on the float, honoring the healing impact of pets on patient recovery.
